Taxi Management Services helped Aspers generate new revenue from their taxi concessions
With casinos in Milton Keynes, Northampton, Newcastle and at London’s Westfield Stratford City – home to the largest casino floor in the UK – Aspers welcomes thousands of guests every day.
For a taxi operator, the exclusive right to serve any one of these venues would represent a sizeable annual income.Yet, before appointing Taxi Management Services, Aspers had no formal arrangements in place and did not receive any income via their taxi concessions.
Our solution
The first step was to tender the opportunity to local taxi firms. Using their detailed database of UK taxi operators, TMS contacted every taxi company within a serviceable radius of each club and offered them the opportunity to tender for exclusive customer and account work.
Bea Stevens, General Manager at Aspers Casino Stratford, explains: “The tender process was very thorough and enabled us to gather lots of vital information about each company that applied. TMS presented the results of the tender in an easy-to-understand scoring system. This included the number of vehicles, age of vehicles, how many executive cars in the fleet, distance from the casino, which taxi dispatch system was used and so on.”
After reviewing the results, a shortlist was created for each club. Where there was not a clear winner, TMS arranged for the casino managers to meet with prospective suppliers to find out how they would provide the best service possible. A TMS account manager attended these meetings to help the GMs make an informed decision.
To ensure that high standards are maintained, all taxi operators are actively managed by TMS under a strict SLA that covers response times, rates, quality of vehicles and customer service, carbon emissions and Anti-Bribery Act compliance. The taxi companies are also required to offer a discount to all casino staff.

The result
With an exclusive taxi provider now in place at each club, Aspers have unlocked a new source of revenue. Thanks to TMS’s ongoing performance management, they can rely on a high standard of service for their guests.
